On Friday, November, 25th, our team attended the Make-A-Wish Canada Trees of Joy event, where donors worked together to create holiday magic for children living with critical illnesses. Sponsors were encouraged at the event to personalize a Christmas tree for a wish child, bringing a sense of hope, joy and love into their lives. With the help of checkout donations during our holiday sale, we were able to donate $5000 to Make-A-Wish Canada at the event!
While the event created an upbeat atmosphere for families to enjoy festive activities, we wanted to commemorate wish mothers specifically for their mental endurance. In doing so, 53 mothers received our Gift of Glow Holiday Kit as a special present from Three Ships! They are true modern-day superheroes and deserve the perfect gift of rest, relaxation and self-care. Seeing the mother’s emotional response brought such appreciation for their endless hard work!
Our Work with Make-A-Wish Canada
At Three Ships, we have an ongoing partnership with Make-A-Wish Canada to grant life-changing wishes for children diagnosed with critical illnesses! This partnership with Make-A-Wish Canada is near and dear to our hearts.
In late 2019, our cofounder, Laura was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 26. She underwent a 10-hour successful surgery, removing 70% of her tumor. Laura’s recovery has been remarkably smooth and both her and Connie feel the importance of giving back and sharing Laura’s health journey as a story of hope for those going through a difficult health diagnosis.
Our goal is to grant 100 wishes to 100 kids through our partnership with Make-A-Wish Canada. We are doing this by offering exclusive bundles that support the cause, offering a donation option at checkout, and by donating a portion of every sale to Make-A-Wish Canada.
